The holiday season has only just begun and I wish it were already over.

I'm still looking forward to Chanukah and New Years, but really, I wish we could just skip the Thanksgiving and Christmas mania.

Our oven caught on fire just when I got out of bed.

And my mom was screeching about the pies in the oven.

So I just walk to get the fire extinguisher and put the fire out. It turns out there was still a pie in the oven, and I had just sprayed it with powder extinguisher.

And then my mother scolded me for getting it on the pie.

Really Mom, I think the house is more important.

After things calmed down, she apologized for panicking. Although, I really wish her way of panicking wasn't getting extremely angry and useless. It tends to make things harder and more complicated.
